Christmas
The Christmas activities stretch from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day. On December 24th, enjoy Traditional Afternoon Tea, a glass of mulled wine and carols sung by the St Leonard's School Choir. Children's fun and games follows the carols before a family buffet with a magician to keep the whole family entertained. A midnight church service is held at Holy Trinity in St. Andrews at midnight. A hot toddy with mince pies awaits your return to warm you through, making you ready for bed and the visit of Santa Claus. On the morning of December 25th, children will awake to a special Christmas stocking from Santa before enjoying breakfast with the family. Santa invites the whole family for gift opening and Christmas cheer before the Atrium hosts a mulled wine reception. A traditional Christmas lunch follows the reception, after which a movie is shown in our private cinema. Dinner and dancing complete the day, by which time you should definitely be ready for a good night's sleep.
On December 26th, start the day with a leisurely Jazz Brunch before embarking upon a guided walk along the dramatic and stunning local coastline. A golf clinic and putting competition against the pro follows your relaxing walk. Afterwards, you can try the family adventure trail. A three course dinner awaits you in The Squire followed by a Quiz. The answers to the Quiz will conclude the evening with a prize giving ceremony before you enjoy a well deserved rest.
Hogmanay
Each year, the hotel hosts a Hogmanay Party where guests can enjoy a variety of activities. Guests arriving on December 31st can enjoy Scottish Country Dancing Lessons and a Whisky Tasting Session, before taking to the Golf Course to take part in a 'Beat the Pro Competition'. This is followed by a family Treasure Trail and Traditional Afternoon Tea before a movie in the private cinema of the hotel. The evening celebrations commence with a drinks and canapés reception, folloed by a Black tie Gala Dinner and live entertainment. At midnight, Champagne and Fireworks are accompanied by 'Beat the Retreat' pipe and drum band. Once the impressive display is finished, the dance floor beckons once again to bring you into the wee hours of the morning.
On January 1st, start the New Year with a leisurely Breakfast Brunch accompanied by a Jazz band before working it off with a guided walk of the area. Spinning classes are offered before the New Years Day Buffet, after which your wits will be tested in our Quiz. Failing that, your luck may change when you try your luck at 'The Table'. Finally, the results of the Quiz and Treasure Trail are announced with a Prize Giving Ceremony following.
