The San Diego Fort is almost 400 years old, originally built by the Spaniards
to protect Acapulco Bay from invasion. You can find the fort on a hill overlooking
the harbor not far from the hotel.
Roqueta Island and the Exotic Species Zoo
Roqueta Island is just a short distance from Acapulco and the hotel and
is a great place for sunbathing and snorkeling. The island is also home
to the Exotic Species Zoo, with an interesting selection of animals. Boats
depart all day from Playa Caleta, a short distance from The Fairmont Acapulco
Princess. You can also take the ecological tour that visits the island during
your hotel stay in Acapulco.
Laguna Coyuca
