Saint John Airport
Saint John Airport (YSJ) is 60 miles from The Fairmont Algonquin. Airlines including Air Canada fly to and from the airport.
Driving Directions
- From the airport take Hwy 1 (80 kilometers / 50 miles) to the St Andrews exit
- Then take Hwy 127
- Follow 127 to town. This turns into Reed Avenue
- Take a left onto Harriet Street
- Turn right on Prince of Wales Street

Ferry Information
You can travel via the Bay of Fundy's scenic route to and from New Brunswick, Deer Island / Eastport, and Campobello Island via East Coast Ferries. Check with East Coast Ferries prior to your departure to ensure that the ferries are operating. The ferries generally operate from late June through Labor Day; however, they may operate longer depending on the traffic volume and weather. Please contact East Coast Ferries for more information:

Train / Bus Information
Via Rail passenger service is not offered to St Andrews. The closest railway station is in Moncton, NB, which is 275 kilometers / 170 miles away (about a three-hour drive). If you are arriving by train, you can rent a car or take a SMT bus. SMT bus service is available from Moncton to St Andrews at a rate of CAD 43.00 per adult each way (tax included).

Driving Directions and Distances
From Halifax / Moncton:
- Take Trans Canada Hwy 2 west to Sussex
- Take exit to Hwy 1 heading to Saint John
- In Saint John, follow Hwy 1 towards St Stephen until the first exit to St Andrews
- Follow Hwy 127 to St Andrews
From the Confederation Bridge:
- Follow Hwy 16 from Cape Tormentine to Port Elgin then exit to Hwy 15 towards Shediac
- Follow Hwy 15 until exit to Trans Canada Hwy 2 West
- Take Trans Canada Hwy 2 West to Sussex
- Take exit to Hwy 1 heading to Saint John
- In Saint John, follow Hwy 1 towards St Stephen until the first exit to St Andrews
- Follow Hwy 127 to St Andrews
From Fredericton:
- From Trans Canada Hwy 2 heading west, take exit to Hwy 3 towards St Stephen
- Follow Hwy 3 through the small village of Harvey
- After approximately ten mintues, turn left immediately after a bridge, continuing on Hwy 3
- Follow signs to St Stephen. On Hwy 3 continue until the village of Lawrence Station where you turn left onto Hwy 127 towards St Andrews
- Cross Hwy 1 at Waweig and follow Hwy 127 to St Andrews
From Rivière-du-Loup / Edmundston:
- From Trans Canada Hwy 2 heading east, take exit to Hwy 3 towards St Stephen
- Follow Hwy 3 through the small village of Harvey

- Follow signs to St Stephen. On Hwy 3 continue until the village of Lawrence Station where you turn left onto Hwy 127 towards St Andrews

- Enter Canada and follow signs for Hwy 1 towards Saint John
- Take first exit to St Andrews and follow Hwy 127 to St Andrews

There is free outdoor parking outside The Fairmont Algonquin. Valet parking is charged at CAD 10.00 per day to a maximum of CAD 30.00 per stay. The price includes in-and-out privileges and may be charged to the room. Both the doorman and the bell staff can provide this service.
