Dubai International Airport (DXB) is located 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) from the Fairmont Dubai.

Driving Directions: Fairmont Dubai to Dubai International Airport

• From the hotel driveway, turn right at first corner
• Proceed straight and turn right at first corner
• Proceed straight, stay on the right lane
• Through the signal light and onto the roundabout
• Take the 'Sheikh Zayed Road' exit off the roundabout (with aeroplane symbol)
• Proceed straight and follow the aeroplane symbol
• Proceed over Al Garhoud Bridge
• Take the first exit off the bridge (number 58)
• Follow ‘Al Garhoud’ sign
• Turn right at aeroplane symbol ‘Al Khawaneej’ sign
• Follow the signs to Terminal 1

From Metro Train Stop to the Hotel

• Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 at the Dubai International Airport have metro train stations that are open and operational.
• From either of these stations, one can reach the Fairmont Dubai easily by taking the train bound for Jebel Ali, stopping at the World Trade Center station.
• The hotel is a short (5 mins) walking distance from the World Trade Center station.

Local Transportation

Taxis are widely available around the city. Moreover, the newly debuted Dubai Metro which runs from Rashidiya to the Ibn Battuta Mall is very accessible for commuters. Urban public buses are also available in Dubai connecting different areas and inter-emirates, as well.

Train Information

• Metro trains arrive every 6 minutes at peak hours and every 8 minutes during off peak hours at each station.
• Station Operating Hours:
• Saturday to Thursday: 6am - 11pm
• Friday: 2pm - 12am (midnight)
• To travel on the metro, a Nol (an Arabic word meaning ‘fare’ or ‘transport cost’) card or a Nol ticket is required. Nol Cards are available as Red (for tourists and visitors), Silver (for frequent travelers), Blue (a personal card for frequent travelers), or Gold (for first class travel).
• Children under 5 years or shorter than 90cm travel free on the Metro.
• You can use your Nol Card on all modes of transport and can even pay for your parking at the Metro station with it.
• It is best to know the rules and regulations when using the Metro and be aware of the corresponding fines on violations.
