The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is the ideal setting in which to hold a themed event. Whether it is a birthday, anniversary, or something more unusual, our experienced service team is on hand to help develop your plans into a successful occasion.

The hotel offers two buffet themed events: the "Welcome to Vancouver Reception" combines four of the most popular Vancouver tourist areas into themed stations. These include Granville Island, Stanley Park, Gastown, and Chinatown, each reflecting unique culinary delights. "The Canadian Reception" brings together cuisine from across Canada, with delicious examples from the Atlantic region, Quebec and Hudson Bay, the Prairies, and British Columbia.

Welcome to Vancouver Reception
The "Welcome to Vancouver Reception" features four themed stations, each based around a Vancouver tourist attraction.

• Granville Island - Granville Island's famous public market is here represented by a selection of delicious seafood and fresh vegetable dishes
• Stanley Park - Offering dishes including Alberta Beef Striploin (carved by the Chef) and a selection of tempting desserts
• Historic Gastown - Serving a delicious choice of Mediterranean dishes
• Chinatown - Sample oriental delicacies at the Chinatown station

The Canadian Reception
"The Canadian Reception" brings together tastes from across Canada. Try the fresh seafood of the Atlantic region, Quebec and Hudson Bay's maple-glazed ham and cheese selection, the farm produce of the Prairies, and superb salmon from British Columbia.
