The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a hotel venue ideal for a special occasion. The varied function space allows for everything from a gala dinner to an intimate lakeside gathering, and the picture-perfect vistas of snow-capped peaks and shimmering lakes make it a scenic location for any event.
Themed Events
Peak Events, the Canadian Rockies' leading special events company, is the events supplier for The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Most themed events feature optional enhancements and can be arranged to fit the requirements of the group.
When the Stars Come Out in Jasper
This themed event features all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. The evening begins with a red carpet entrance and reception for guests, with passed hors d'oeuvres. The flexible package can include a comic awards ceremony, movie-star treatment for guests, or a Sherlock Holmes-style murder mystery, depending on your preference. All packages include a gourmet five-course dinner and dessert, which will leave you wishing the credits of this filmic event will never roll. The event can be enhanced to suit any group size and budget.
Jasper's Trading Post
A market-style event that can be enhanced to suit any group size and budget. Guests can visit three impressive theme decor stations featuring large and distinctive props, framed photographs, and well-known works of art depicting the history and lore of the region. Each decor station is displayed at table height, creating a captivating ambiance around the buffets and placing the visual elements in clear view throughout the room. The package can also include a lively interactive host, a mountain string group, or an animated lighted effect that replicates the ethereal glow of the Northern Lights. A number of table decor, entertainment, and staging options are also available.
All Aboard for Jasper
All Aboard for Jasper is a distinctive, railway-themed event. The decor is grand, authentic, and distinctive. The entrance treatment features a tall railway crossing arm, a rail crossing, historic railway signage and photos, antique and custom-made props, greens, fabric, and accent lighting. The ballroom decor includes a large red rail cart, elevated in the center of the room and piled high with antique luggage and props. At either end of the room are two large, hand-painted backdrops depicting both the front and rear of a classic locomotive and parlor car. The themed ambiance is further enhanced by a dozen large, framed historical photos and authentic railway signage displayed throughout the room.
To accompany the ambiance, Executive Chef Michael Mandato has created two culinary experiences to select from: a buffet or a five-course plated dinner. Each highlights regions from across Canada, taking guests on a culinary journey that is sure to please. Entertainment options include a fun and effervescent railway conductor, who undertakes the role of host and provides for a lively, interactive, and entertaining evening. For musical entertainment, the range of options includes a solo jazz guitarist, pianist, or a versatile dance band.
Jasper-opoly
Jasper-opoly is a themed event that puts guests on square one of a unique board game. As guests arrive at the reception, rich Uncle Pennybags greets them and they receive three real estate trading cards. The guest must negotiate trades, without cash, to form complete sets of color-matching cards. These completed sets are taken to the banker, who will exchange the cards for a draw prize ticket and a new set of unmatched cards. Players receive a draw ticket for each set redeemed (most fair) or the player with the most complete sets wins (more competitive).
