Airport Information
Edmonton International Airport
Edmonton International Airport (YEG) caters for most major airlines. It is a four-hour drive (228 miles / 367 kilometers) from The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Driving Directions
- After leaving the airport, go towards Edmonton on the Calgary Trail North Hwy 2
- Exit onto Hwy 19 towards Devon
- Drive through Devon; you will be on Hwy 60, then exit onto Hwy 16 West (also called Yellowhead Hwy)
- Hwy 16 continues west to Jasper
- The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge exit is before the town of Jasper
- You'll see a sign to turn left and cross over a steel bridge, then immediately right onto Lodge Road, which you follow to The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge reception area
Airport Shuttle
Greyhound
The bus departs daily at 7:00 am, 1:15 pm, 8:00 pm, and 11:15 pm. The cost for an adult is CAD 53.45, including tax.

Please note:
Those arriving at Edmonton International Airport need to get to the Greyhound Bus Depot downtown. You can either take a taxi or the shuttle service provided by Airporter, which leaves the airport every 20 minutes and goes to the Greyhound Bus Depot (approximately CAD 11.00 per person).

Calgary International Airport
Calgary International Airport (YYC) caters for most major airlines. It is a five-hour drive (255 miles / 410 kilometers) from The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Driving Directions
- After leaving the airport you will be on Barlow Trail
- Continue south on Barlow to the turnoff for 16th Avenue (also called Hwy 1 West)
- Continue on Hwy 1 to Banff or 31 miles / 50 kilometers more to Lake Louise
- Gas up there; your only other gas station will be 44 miles / 70 kilometers away
- You are now in Lake Louise, 142 miles / 228 kilometers from Jasper
- Leaving Lake Louise, you'll be exiting onto Hwy 93
- Keep your eyes open, because the sign for Hwy 93 is easy to miss; it's a right-hand turn that says "Jasper," but there is only one sign
- The speed limit is 55 mph / 90 kph
- Be careful at the Columbia Icefield as there may be traffic congestion, then from there sightseeing spots along the way include Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca Falls, Mount Edith Cavell, Marmot Basin, and the Jasper Tramway
- At the lights, turn right onto Hwy 16 East and follow the signs
- The exit for The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is 0.6 miles / 1 kilometer after the second town site exit, then turn right
- You'll cross a steel bridge, then right again onto Lodge Road, which you follow to The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge reception area
- The best thing to do would be to fly into Edmonton in the winter as the weather conditions on the Icefields Parkway are very changeable and can be severe. The roads to Edmonton are well maintained

Charter Airlines To Local Airports
Air Canada Jetz, Corporate Express, Peace Air, and Kenn Borek Air are available for charter service from either Edmonton or Calgary to nearby airports. The Jasper / Hinton Airport is located 43 miles / 70 kilometers east of the resort. The Edson Airport is located 93 miles / 150 kilometers east of the resort.
Private Transfer Service
The private transfer service is available to guests needing assistance to arrive or depart. Pick-ups and drop-offs can be arranged to / from anywhere in Edmonton or Calgary. - Follow Old Lodge Road to the property
From Vancouver:
- Take Hwy 1 toward Hope, British Columbia, then take Coquihala Hwy and exit Kamloops
- Take Hwy 5 into Jasper and continue through the first set of lights
- Follow signs to The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

National Park Fees
Visitors to any National Park need to pay a fee when entering. Individual National Park Day Passes are valid until 4:00 pm following the day of entry.
