Alberta Family Day is a statutory holiday in Alberta on the third Monday of February each year.
Jasper Heritage Folk Festival
The Jasper Heritage Folk Festival is held every second year on the first weekend in August. During each festival, Centennial Park is transformed into a village of music and celebration. Rhythms from across Canada and the world can be heard from our outdoor stages. From headlining acts on the main stage, to workshops and jam sessions on our side stages, visitors are bound to find some great live music to suit their mood. The next few festivals are in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015.

Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club
Few golf courses in the world can match the majesty of the Jasper Park Lodge's Stanley Thompson-designed course. Skiing and Snowboarding
Marmot Basin
Marmot Basin is the closest ski area to the hotel, featuring 84 runs, 1650 acres of skiable terrain, and all-natural snow. The ski area's modern lift system carries 11,931 skiers uphill per hour, and Marmot Basin is one of the least crowded ski areas of its size in all of North America. Marmot Basin is located only 11 miles (19 kilometers) from The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Rentals, ski shop, and daycare are available at the ski hill.
