National Capital Marathon / Mother's Day Marathon

Tulip Festival

Ottawa International Animation Festival

Golf
There are numerous opportunities for good golfing in the Ottawa area. Fairmont Le Château Montebello has a classic Stanley Thompson-designed course (approximately a one-hour drive).

Skiing
There are many ski hills just north of the capital to thrill downhill ski enthusiasts. Cross-country skiing fans will be amazed by the opportunities in Gatineau Park, where there are almost 200 kilometers (111 miles) of groomed and track-set ski trails. Ski enthusiasts can spend the night in one of five forest cabins as part of the Hut-to-Hut program.
