The Plaza Hotel was awarded the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Rating for the first time in its 102-year history. The Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya, The Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle and The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Phoenix also continue to hold AAA Five Diamond Ratings.

Travel + Leisure - 500 World's Best Hotels - 2010
The Fairmont Mara Safara Club was named #3 best hotel in the world and #1 best resort or lodge in Africa & The Middle East. The Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui was named as a top 10 resort in Hawaii while Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya and The Fairmont Acapulco Princess made the top 20 resorts in Mexico.

Condé Nast Traveler - Gold List - 2010
Eleven Fairmont properties made the 2010 Gold List, with an additional eight recognized on the Gold Reserve List. The Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List is based on magazine-subscriber votes.

Bilanz, the leading Swiss business and finance publication, awarded Fairmont Le Montreux Palace as Best City Hotel in Switzerland. The hotel previously held the top honour in 2007 and 2008 and held second place in 2009.

Twenty-two Fairmont properties made the Expedia Insider's Select list, including Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, Fairmont Monte Carlo and Fairmont Turnberry Isle in Miami, all which scored 99+ out of 100.

Willow Stream Spas at The Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Dubai and Fairmont Singapore, along with the spa at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa were all chosen as winners in the 2010 Silver Sage Readers' Choice Awards. All were recognized as Favorite Resort/Hotel Spa within their respective regions, with Willow Stream, the Spa at The Fairmont Banff Springs also winning as Favorite Spas for Couples-International and Favorite Mineral Springs Spa.
