Airport Information

Vancouver International Airport
The Fairmont Vancouver Airport is conveniently located above the USA Departures Level of Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

Walking Directions

From the International Satellite Desk:

(Approximately a ten-minute walk)

Air Canada Boarding Pass Kiosk
Air Canada ticket holders who will be boarding an Air Canada, Jazz, Tango, or Zip flight, and whose destination is within Canada or the US, may use this machine in the main Lobby of the hotel to get their boarding pass. (You will need to check your luggage as usual before boarding.) An Air Canada ticket holder described above could be an overnight guest, a meeting attendee, a restaurant / bar patron, spa user, or sightseer. The machine is not available for use by Air Canada travelers to international destinations (only Canada and the USA).

Car Rental
Avis has a location five minutes from The Fairmont Vancouver Airport and guarantees rental car availability to guests at the hotel. The minimum age to rent a car in British Columbia is 25 years of age.

Cruise Ship Information
Cruise ship terminals can be found at Canada Place and Ballantyne Pier.

Canada Place
Located just across the street from The Fairmont Waterfront, most cruise ships arrive at Canada Place.

Ballantyne Pier
Located ten blocks from The Fairmont Waterfront or a five-minute cab ride (about CAD 10.00). Only a few cruise ships arrive here, including Radiance of the Seas, Vision of the Seas, and Serenade of the Seas.

Coaches / Shuttle Services

Pacific Coach Lines
Scheduled bus services run from Vancouver Airport to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and Victoria. Tickets may be purchased at the airport bus stop located just outside the International and Domestic arrivals areas.

Airporter
The Airporter shuttle serves major downtown Vancouver hotels, the Cruise Ship Terminal, and bus depot. Buses depart every 15 minutes (6:30 am to 12:10 am) from the Domestic and International arrivals areas of the airport.

Greyhound Bus Line
The Greyhound can take guests to Whistler resorts, Whistler Village, and the Whistler / Blackcomb Mountains. Pickups are made from the Whistler bus stops located immediately outside the Domestic and International arrivals areas of Vancouver International Airport.

Quick Shuttle
Serves Bellingham Airport, Everett, downtown Seattle, and Sea-Tac International Airport in Washington State. Bus departs from Domestic and International arrivals areas.

Fishing Lodge Shuttles

Shuttle to Oak Bay Marine Lodge:
Pacific Coastal Shuttle will offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the South Terminal for any passengers traveling to or from the Oak Bay Marine Lodge and staying at The Fairmont Vancouver Airport. So any Oak Bay guest can now use the Pacific Coastal Shuttle, whether they fly that airline or not. Board the regularly scheduled shuttle that picks up and drops off at the International arrivals level at Bay (or pillar) 11.

Seaplanes
Seaplanes offer a harbor-to-harbor service between Vancouver and Victoria. Departure points are within walking distance of The Fairmont Waterfront. Call the hotel or contact Harbour Air directly on:

HeliJet
The HeliJet is a great way to travel from Vancouver to Victoria, Whistler, Seattle, and vice versa. The HeliJet leaves from the South Terminal (approximately a ten-minute drive away from The Fairmont Vancouver Airport) and also from downtown Vancouver.

Bus
The local bus service serves White Rock, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Agassiz, Chilliwack, Harrison, Hope, Maple Ridge, Mission, and Pitt Meadows. The bus departs from the Domestic arrivals level. For schedule information, please call:

Parking Information
The Fairmont Vancouver Airport is a tenant of the airport and therefore airport parking rates apply.

Valet Parking
Gateway Valet offers valet parking (includes in / out privileges) at a rate of CAD 20.52 a night including taxes. Guests can either charge parking to the room or pay at the lot directly with cash, Visa, Amex, or MasterCard.

Self Parking
The airport has three self parking options - long-term, economy, and parkade. Each includes in / out privileges.
