Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is served by most major international flights. It is 18 kilometers from The Fairmont Waterfront.
Driving Directions
Airport Shuttle
The airport shuttle runs from Vancouver International Airport to The Fairmont Waterfront. It is located on the 2nd level of the airport. Departures are every 30 minutes from 5:30 am to 6:30 am and every 15 minutes from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm. From 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm the shuttle runs every 30 minutes once more. The shuttle is priced at CAD 12.00 one way and CAD 18.00 return.
Taxis and Limousines
Taxis
Taxis are readily available. A ride from Vancouver International Airport to The Fairmont Waterfront should cost approximately CAD 27.00.
Limousines
Limousine service may be arranged through the hotel Concierge on +1 (604) 691-1991 or by calling one of the recommended companies below. A limousine from the airport to the hotel should cost between approximately CAD 75.00 and CAD 100.00.

All are located within a few blocks of the hotel.

Cruise Ship Information
Cruise ship terminals can be found at Canada Place and Ballantyne Pier.
Canada Place
Located just across the street from The Fairmont Waterfront, most cruise ships arrive at Canada Place.
Ballantyne Pier
Located ten blocks from The Fairmont Waterfront, or a five-minute cab ride (about CAD 10.00). Only a few cruise ships arrive here, including Radiance of the Seas, Vision of the Seas, and Serenade of the Seas.
The bellmen cannot pick up luggage from the terminal. Guests can simply get the taxi driver to assist with luggage.
Coach Information
Pacific Central Station is where visitors can find Greyhound and Pacific Coach Lines bus services. Pacific Central Station is located at 1150 Station Street, a 15-minute drive from the hotel. The journey should cost approximately CAD 10.00 by taxi.
Greyhound
Greyhound buses provide service from Vancouver to Seattle.

Pacific Coach Lines provides a coach service from Vancouver to Victoria and Whistler. The Victoria service terminates at 700 Douglas Street, Victoria. The journey time is approximately three-and-a-half hours.

Train Information
VIA Rail Pacific Station (Main Street) is located a 15-minute drive from the hotel. The journey to the hotel will cost approximately CAD 10.00 by taxi. If guests wish to use Amtrak's service to and from Seattle they should call in advance:

Local Transportation
SkyTrain
Vancouver's subway transit system train runs above ground in some areas and below ground in others. The system is divided into three different transit zones, which indicate how many tickets you must purchase in order to get to a specific attraction. The SkyTrain stops underneath The Fairmont Waterfront.
The light rail service also has transit stops across the street from The Fairmont Waterfront.

Seaplanes offer a harbor-to-harbor service between Vancouver and Victoria. Departure points are within walking distance of The Fairmont Waterfront. Call the hotel or contact Harbor Air directly on:

Driving Directions and Distances
From Seattle, Washington to Vancouver:
Driving time is approximately three hours (depending on how long you get held up at the border crossing).
From Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to The Fairmont Waterfront:
The Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal is 24 miles south of Vancouver and runs services to and from Victoria, Nanaimo, and the southern Gulf Islands. It is approximately 45 minutes' drive from The Fairmont Waterfront.

Parking Information
Self or valet parking costs CAD 27.00 (including GST) from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Self and valet parking may be charged to the room account or paid by cash, Visa, MasterCard or Amex. In and out privileges are included. If self-parking, you must collect a parking pass from the Front Desk. Over-height vehicles (over 1.9 metres / 6' 7") are parked in outdoor parking at the same rate.
The entrance to the underground parking is on Burrard Street, which is the cross street to Canada Place Way. If you travel down Burrard Street, the parking entrance is on the right-hand side.
Note: The parking lot is owned by Impark.
Long-Term Parking
If you would like to park your car for an extended period, such as while on a cruise, you may contact the Concierge for information on parking underneath the hotel. Parking is also available at Cruise Park near the cruise terminal.
